Register for the 1st Class Tutorial

The 1st Class Tutorial and Yes Teach! Math & Science catalog provide exciting and innovative tools for new teachers, current teachers, and mentors in math and science education.  These and other high-quality, interactive online educational resources are available at the George Grier Kirkpatrick, Jr. Advanced Learning Environment (ALE), hosted by The Center For Professional Education at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

The ALE is a web-based virtual learning portal that features free, self-paced learning curricula, designed specifically to fit your busy schedule. Topics include general K-12 teacher education, space science, basic electricity, biotechnology, technical mathematics, cryogenics, and many other subjects.

The 1st Class Tutorial is designed to give you an overview of best practices to help prepare you for the classroom.  The 1st Class Tutorial does not replace alternative certification and is not for college credit.  Upon completion of the modules within the 1st Class Tutorial you will be able to print a certificate that can be included with your resume and application to school districts.

To activate your free membership in the ALE, you must go to the Advanced Learning Environment and register.  Be sure to select that you are part of the Yes Teach! group on the registration form to ensure that you have access to all of the materials.  If you have any difficulty registering, please contact the ALE Administrator at ALE@erau.edu or call 386-947-5287 for assistance.
