COVER LETTER HINTS
The cover letter is as important as your resume. It
explains your interest in the position, and also highlights your strong
points. Stress how your education and experience can be utilized by an
employer.

- Introduce yourself in terms of your skills and
qualifications.
- Indicate the position you are seeking.
- Mention the source of information, i.e.,
friend, newspaper ad.
Section 2-Sell
Yourself
- Summarize your abilities and educational
preparation.
- Tie in your interests and talents to
employer's needs.
- Mention special personal qualities.
Section
3-Closing
- Ask for a response.
- Repeat your interest in the position.
- Ask if further information is needed.
- Close your letter appropriately, i.e.,
Sincerely, Very truly yours.
The cover letter shows the promise of what you can
do, and the resume should provide the evidence.
