POST INTERVIEW
It is
important to follow-up each interview with a “thank you” letter. The
letter should be short and to the point and addressed to the
individual(s) who interviewed you. It should express your appreciation
for the interview and may also reiterate pertinent details discussed
during the interview. The purpose of the "thank you" letter is to help
you stand out in the interviewer's mind.
The
following is a sample follow-up letter. You should incorporate
events (a tour of the school, meeting students, etc.) and/or topics
covered during your interview to personalize the letter.

Dear Dr.
Jones,
Thank you for the interview you afforded me yesterday. Our
discussion was most informative and further stimulated my interest in
your school. I am enthused about the possibilities we discussed of
incorporating my unique background as a XYZ teacher.
I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
Please notify me if there is any further information which I might
supply.
Sincerely,
